Never gotten a flu shot, never gotten the flu.

I got the swine flu which was certified by the nose swab. I caught the flu again this year and was also confirmed by a nose swab. Each time it lasted about 48 hours and wasnt bad. Mostly just 2 days of playing playstation and sleeping a lot. Also I got a week off with pay each time and it counted for FMLA. I'll take my chances.

Honesty, I like it. My problem, I'm retired so I don't know which way to roll on this one. No shot, maybe get flu, delay honey-do list until I deem myself healed or get the shot, no flu but freeze my arse off adhering to honey-do list outside the house.
Maybe I should get divorced and alleviate the stress of making the big decision.

I hadn't either, and had never had it before; but at 32 I got it. My kids got it, I got it, my mom got it...7 days of hell for each of us. The flu is like a super cold combined with a stomach virus combined with an upper respitory infection. Last year it was killing healthy 40 and 50 yr olds.
I like my chances with the shot.
