One day at a Cabela's checkout line and the guy ahead of me said "No" when asked by the cashier for his phone number. Ever since then I now say "No thanks" when asked for my phone number, zip code, and email address. At GNC I literally said "No" 5 different times. I realize this is for marketing and regional sales data but I'm no longer giving out my info. Sick of junk mail delivered to my house.

Does everyone else say "No" or do yall go ahead give them the info?

I give the info. But for some reason I am ONLY bothered by this at Academy Sports. Their delivery makes me feel like it's necessary to complete the transaction.

If I do give them info, I usually give them the wrong info.

Just hit the cancel button when they ask for your zip code.

I don't give my personal info. And I don't use the store cards. This discount isn't enough for me to worry about, and I don't like my purchases tracked.

Also, last time we were at the pediatrician's office, they asked a bunch of personal questions at the check in. Are there guns in your house? Where does he go to school? I told then when those questions became pertinent to the illness he was there for, then I'd answer them.

That sounds mor like personal info rather than personnel..

I worked at a place that ended with "supply" one time and I bought something , they asked me for a phone number and I gave them the work number. As I left he said thank you Mister Supply (but pronounced in Sup-plee

Zip code.--I don't have a problem with. Not as personal, so I don't care.

"No" to phone # or email address. I do not want them contacting me.
