Did anyone experience the mayhem @ BSM Saturday morning. I think we ball parked 200 trucks/boats & the longest line I've ever seen @ the launch. Wild stuff. Sanchez said they've never seen anything quite like it. Where the hell did all those wahoo's come from? Most of them were ridin' dirty with no bow/stern lights too. Dangerous stuff.

We don't launch at BSM but there were plenty out in the marsh Saturday.

I was at the Reggio launch on Saturday. Big crowd but we put in early to get ahead of it.

Went to BSM after the hunt to fish. The place had a ton of boats and trailers left at it. Never seen boats parked so far back

I know five people that showed up to their blinds - only to find people in them Saturday morning

We hunted the public land of BWMA. It's a huge area, but I'd familiarize yourself with it a few times during the daylight hours before attempting to run at prelight hours. We nearly t-boned a couple of unmarked boats on our way out to the blind.

Depending on what type of boat your running, you might have an advantage. There are some nice spots on the outskirts of the WMA that don't get hunted due to the haul.

Shoot me your email and I'll send you a couple maptacks.

Yea man, not to gripe about things but legal hours were 5:55am, but the barrage of shotgun blasts started well before @ 5:20am. The marshrat cowboys can't work birds in w/ calls and have to shoot them on the water? Very upsetting.

I blame that type of shitz on forums like bayou bucks. Since the inception
of BB and many others I've noticed an influx of weekend warriors showing up at public lands and WMA's. before, you looked on a map, planned a weekend, scouted your arse off, and hunted hard. Now, when a couple of animals are killed they're posted all over the web and here come the crowds. I know this first ha d because I work with a few fellows who read up on BB and base their knowledge and hunting season on it alone. Example "JJBTiger, I don't know where the f**k Dewey Willis is but on BB they're slaughtering. Me and 1099568 of my buddies are going this weekend, how do we get there?" Lmbo. Stupid stupid....

Last year I hunted the opener at BWMA and despite an hour boat ride to my spot (I launched the day before and camped on the WMA), there were multiple hunters within 200 yds of me come morning. I could hear people riding out to their spots at 3AM.

I agree, people on the internet talk waaay too much about where they hunt.

But that being said, it's opening weekend and everyone gears up for the opener. After opening weekend it's a lot calmer out there. A lot of people quit after having one or two bad hunts.

I've never had a problem in the Biloxi marsh WMA, but we would always camp out in the marsh for the opener.

Got to BSM early (3ish) and barely beat the rush. As we were pulling out the boats started stacking up

We heard many shots long before legal...

Saw one boat running dirty... Green jeans ought to camp out and seize boats for that shat
