Let's Talk About Toyota Corollas

Best selling car in the world. That's all I really know about Corollas.

I rent them frequently. I think they are the stereotypical generic Japanese sedan, and not particularly competitive relative to the newer American and Korean compacts. They are actually pretty uncomfortable....but they get very good mileage and are almost certainly reliable and trouble-free if maintained.

The new ones have strange styling but a nicer interior.

Honestly would not be my first choice in that segment. Probably not my second or third either.

Change the oil regularly and it will run for 200K+ miles

Ok..They became less fun to drive when they stopped making them RWD

I had a 1994, sold it in 2001. Great car. Damned dependable and cheap to own.

Pros: Good value, reliable, and low gas mileage

Cons: Small, uncomfortable cabin and weak engine/acceleration

The 2014 Corollas have a pretty nice looking exterior. Do NOT get a 2013 corolla. My dad has one ad it has the worst acceleration of any car I've ever seen.

Old people cars:

Grand Marquis.
Buicks (but not Enclave).
Pickup truck, but only if it has full bed cap.
Older Camry.
