I hate that Adnan didn't take the stand but understand that he basically couldn't have helped his case since the whole court system is just trying to discredit the prosecution. I sat in a trial where during voi dere (or whatever its called) that they mentioned this was going to happen and the defendant wasn't planning on testifying. By the closing arguments this dude was so up shite creek i guess they threw that out the window and he testified, after hearing him talk i was convinced on guilty (so he probably would have been better off staying quiet)
I want to say I can't believe they convicted him based on Jays testimony but i'd be a hypocrite because in that same case we sent a man to jail for life on aggravated rape off the testimony of the child with no real proof other than being convinced on his testimony. I don't see how a jury could be convinced with Jay's sketchy arse testimony.
Jen might be the most confusing part of this whole thing. Why did Jay tell her again. Plus she sounds like a dude

Why didn't Jay spend any time with Stephanie on her bday?
Instead he hung out Jen all night

Adnan is guilty. He's a smart, borderline genius and a sociopath rooted from a Pakastani muslim fundamentalist upbringing that killed with no remorse.
How Jay only got two years probation is the biggest WTF.

I don't remember this part about the unidentified caller tipping off the police
Have the said who it was?

That's the thing with both main dudes in the case. They both come off as charming and likable. It's more likely than neither are a sociopath, but it's fun to think about.

I don't have an opinion yet but think I'm going to be disappointed with how this all ends. But Adnan is still incarcerated is he not? Something isn't clicking.

Yes, he's sentenced to life
I am 99% sure the ending is going to suck. I wonder how many episodes are left
It's cool reading the transcripts. I was at work and I think I missed a lot more than I thought

I heard there were 12 episodes, but who knows. They're kind of winging it as they go along.
I'm indifferent on Jay and Adnan. I think they both have some likable traits, while also being liars. The one person in this whole thing I don't like is Jen. I think she's involved in it WAY more than she admits to. I wouldn't be surprised if she killed Hae, and Jay covered for her, then cooked up a story to pin it on Adnan.
The ending will suck as there will be no resolution, unless Dirdre's outfit is able to do something, but even then that will take months.

so if you believe Adnan killed her, you gotta think he did it at the library (as chris said) and not best buy.
makes sense with Asia as the alibi and the timeline becomes less crazy but seems like a very public place. Seems like the reason that the defense wouldnt try and get the library records for Adnan's alibi because it would actually incriminate Adnan being there

So are they done now? Apparently they started this like 8 months ago?
It seems like they did a lot more editing of going back and forth, holding on to info to reveal it in the future
When they said we're supposed to be learning everything right along side them
This part confuses me

I'm only on episode 6 so I won't read the whole thread but has anyone listened to the parodies that are on YouTube?
They're hilarious

It really paints Adnan's feelings toward Hae and the break up in a much different light than his friends have tried to portray
i mean if a girl dumped me i would probably try and act fine with it among my friends but to the girl i would let her know how i really feel. plus if she dumped me to bang some dude she worked with while we were dating i doubt id fall into the lets be besties after the break up

I agree completely
Adnan also said he didn't care. But that note is pretty telling that he was fricking with Hae
I like the theory of Jay killing Hae because she was going to tell Stephanie he was cheating on her with Jenn. That makes sense to why Jenn was so involved, IMO
