We tend to stick to the usual cold weather meals... Chili, gumbo, taco soup, etc. but I am looking to branch out a bit.

What keeps your belly warm and full in the winter?? Besides bourbon, of course

I'm a big casserole/baked pasta fan. I made baked creamy chicken pasta last night.

I am a big fan of casseroles too. Problem is that my daughter has a dairy intolerance so it is tough to find casseroles that don't have some form of dairy in them.

Oh yeah. I can't imagine! She is still really young so she doesn't fully comprehend what she is missing yet. Hopefully she will grow out of it.

Lots of different soups, beef bourguignon, coq au vin, my lighter version of shrimp and grits is great for a cold night, chicken and cornbread casserole sort of like a pot pie...I tend to eat more cornbread during the cold months...
