Me and my girlfriend are both fairly new to New Orleans and will be celebrating my birthday Sunday. What are some of your favorite spots to catch brunch around town?

I went to Basin on Magazine for the first time this Sunday and it was really good.

I second this. I had the duck hash there this past weekend and it was damn fine. Grab a side order of the cream cheese grits as well.

Atchafalaya, Coquette, and Patois are my favorites.
It's VooDoo weekend. So open up that OpenTable app and make a res NOW.
ETA: Atchafalaya doesn't have anything until 2pm, just FYI.
Coquette has a 1:30.
Patois has a TON of open reservations. Go there!

Atchafalaya is the best.
After that there are a lot of great spots depending on what you're looking for: Patois, Coquette, Commander's Palace, Cafe Amelie, Martinque Bistro etc

Their Milk Punch is the best I've ever had. No idea what they did to that thing.

I'll have to give that a shot next time.

Commander's online reservations are full, but he could maybe call. Looking like many of the best places are full. I'm surprised Patois isn't.
Of course, he made the thread and signed off, so oh well

You can walk in without reservations if you go around 11. I would suggest to be picky about sitting outside even though it has cooled off a little. The service sucks outside.

Man, we showed up at the wrong time for a reservation by accident and had to wait an hour
But that was 12:30 when it is busier.

Says the guy who chose to sit outside then complained about the sun being too bright.

It's a work day
Lots of good recomendations. I figured the reservations would already be mostly booked, but I don't mind going later in the day so that's a solid option.
Should of also mentioned my GF is highly allergic to shellfish, which makes eating out in New Orleans tricky.

My house. I always have endless mimosas, and make a mean breakfast.
ETA: It costs about $15 for 2 ppl.
