How often do you get the chance to play the alma mater with the student section on the field to sing with the team? It's never been done.

Band...golden... SWIDT?

I'm told by an insider the band was instructed by LSU to shut it down.

Think it's stupid and silly, but I guess it is what it is.

Clearly, lsu officials did not want the band to play while the students were on the field. That would have kept them out there longer.

I noticed them waiting to play. After I gave up on the alma mater they played Hey Baby.

The Band suck the whole game and was a disappointment. They played Hey Baby instead of the Alma Mater. It looks like they are a chicken with no head.

I'm not saying they sucked, in fact, they kept the crowd in it all game. They played "Pregame" two seperate times than normal. They were doing their best to keep the crowd going, I just wanted the alma mater with everyone on the field.

I kind of wish they would have played Neck in the last two minutes.

Should have played neck with everyone on the field. Screw whatever is keeping them from playing it. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Yeah I didn't get it. That's what I was waiting for down on the field and was going to leave after that. Instead they just stopped playing.

I think any rumors of Neck returning were false. After the TD was the perfect time to play it last night

I don't see anything they played kept the crowd in the game other than the traditional Pregame, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th down cheers. They played Stand Up and Get Crunk after the most exciting touchdown????? Come on band, learn new song to play if you can't play Neck or Oh We Oh.

problem is every good song that really gets the crowd going eventually gets taken away

I was shocked that they didn't play it.

And on another note, I was thinking SURELY they'd have played NECK after the interception or at the end of the game.

The band blows. Another boring halftime show featuring some worn out, old arse Journey song.

Would you seriously need an insider to tell you that?

There are actual safety concerns that go along with people rushing the field. It may be hard for the children to comprehend, but the no-rushing rule isn't just grown-ups trying to be meanies. For one thing, once the field is rushed, there is little to prevent this from happening: LINK

Now that we've rushed the field for Ole Miss - what does that leave us left to do if we beat Bama - except tear down the fricking goal posts?
