Is the service offered in your area, and if so, do you recycle? Why or why not?

I pay a mexican $20/month to pick my trash up from my door step 5 nights a week. He can sort it if he wants to.

I agreed to pay $40 dollars a year to have a recycling can when they sent out a letter asking who would be willing. Apparently the people around me think $3.33 per month is just a little to much to pay to get the service.

I do fill up our shredded document can at work which pisses a few people off. It's the only can that recycles, but the company only comes empty it once a month, so it get's full. I go through wayyyy to much paper to just toss it in the trash.

No, there is no recycling in my condo development.

So, no, I don't.

I would if they had it.

Yes, and yes, though usually just obvious items (boxes, bottles, etc.). We don't sort through to pull out recyclable things but we probably should.

oh wait I do recycle.

Whenever I'm fishing, I sink my empty beer cans to the bottom of the waterbody I happen to be on at the time.

It's called the "adopt a fish program" Every empty beer can makes a home for a small fish

It's offered in my area and I do recycle. My parents don't do it because it isn't offered but did when it was.

Yes and yes. We don't have to sort paper, plastic, glass, etc. It all goes into one can. We generally have more recycling than regular trash.

Yes its offered.

Yes I participate.

I do it because it's trashy not to.

Recycling accounts for a good 2/3's of the total waste generated in my home.

I do in CA. They have 3 cans: recycle bin, green waste and trash. The latter is the smallest.

In Alexandria, they had a recycling service for a year or two, then the newspaper revealed they were collecting the recycling and sending it to the dump along with the trash. Program ended, never to revive.
