Simple quesiton

here are the candidates

Robert Lamar "Bob" Bell (R)
"Dan" Claitor (R)
Norman "Norm" Clark (R)
Rufus Holt Craig, Jr. (L)
Paul Dietzel II (R)
Edwin Edwards (D)
Garret Graves (R)
Richard Lieberman (D)
Craig McCulloch (R)
"Trey" Thomas (R)
Lenar Whitney (R)
Peter Williams (D)

I'm between Dietzel and Claitor, mainly because they actually have a chance at a run off.

but who out of these guys are the best? Who should we vote for?

LINK

best link I could find is above.

Edit: it is likely that it will be Edwin Edwards vs who ever gets the most votes as an R.

Who ever is in the Run off with Edwards will likely win the seat.

Unless you want to vote for a lobbying organization- Dietzel, Graves, Whitney--

Claitor seems like the most reasonable.

Claitor.

I like Graves but, come on, his resume is 100% political patronage.

Isn't Dietzel 28?

I don't want someone under 30 representing me.

He gets my vote too but if he's not in the runoff I'll take a chance on Edwin. I like a good dumpster fire too.

I'm voting for Paul Dietzel in the first election because I think he had a bright future. I think Claitor will ultimately win against whoever in the runoff.

A TON of people are going to go into the booth, see "Paul Dietzel" and go "LSU, LSU" and vote for him simply because of his name.

It's a shame your vote counts as much as mine.

I think EWE is just doing it to enjoy the publicity one more time. I doubt he really wants to win and move to Washington. But I could be wrong.

That's a pretty subjective question. I'm not a liberal so I'm not going to tell you what's best for you and how to think.

Based on money, which has a significant correlation to winning, Graves, Claitor, Dietzel, and Edwards have the most.

quote:

Garret Graves continues to raise significantly more money than his opponents in the race for Louisiana's 6th Congressional District, reporting in the latest campaign finance filings that he's raised a total of about $1.1 million.

That said, if it's between Claitor and Dietzel, I'd suggest Claitor based on his experience and record.
