If a Liverpool player scores a goal from a rabona from the top of the box, then they are pulling a Tottenham. Erik Lamela is unreal.

This thread is retarded. We're tied for fourth, all the while playing miserably bad. Imagine when these guys actually start to gel.

This is why you get called out for being Poolsessed.

I hope y'all pull an invincible type season and destroy the league. While we get guys back and make a run to be third.

Cesc is the transfer of the year.

There's serious talk brewing about an invincible season already. While most would say its premature I think this Chelsea team has shown its perfectly capable of doing so if they keep their minds on the game every week.

They have the depth, they have the keeper and they have the manager to do it. Only issue will be striker health. Costa and Remy having muscular issues is a worry. Drogba can't pull the weight, but they have some really good young players that could provide a spark.

I highly, highly doubt they go unbeaten but I wouldn't be surprised if they made a run at the points record if the key parts stay healthy.

Yeah unbeaten is a big ask any year, but this team looks more likely to do it than any other since 2002.

People said the same about Chelsea in Ancelotti's first year. They were awesome the first half of that season. And then I think their first loss was to Wigan.

Mourinho is a better defensive coach, and with the Cesc-Costa axis, they are poised to be really good, but Cesc really doesn't defend. In the Arsenal-Chelsea game, Arsenal played through the Chelsea midfield easier than I've seen against a Mourinho team, but it all broke down at the 18. I can't see a team with Cesc playing that deep going the season unbeaten, especially when teams start targeting him specifically.

Ha, not so good. I'll take the trade off though.

If Oscar keeps working his balls off defending I don't think that will hurt us too bad. If we're ever in a situation where we need to defend I have full confidence Mourinho will have them ready to do so.

I'm thinking 2-2 draw sunday. No Coasta or Remy we have a chance.

My bad. Sitting tied for fourth and claiming we're pulling a Totts is totally sensible.

I'll be surprised if we allow two. Striker is an issue but Hazard is always a threat to score or draw a PK and if Oscar can keep up his form I think we'll find the goals we need.

Will you take the game to them or sit back, defend and counter? Can Schurrle play as a CF?

I'd do the latter... their back line is bad and Blind is slow...
