The Pool fans yesterday were so pissed. Some of the regulars didn't even show.

The Arsenal bandwagon is strong, bro..

What are the crowds like for Boxing Day and the like? Might have some time over the holidays to come to the area.

I've been a ghost because of college football season and most recently Halloween. Now that I can afford tix I watch the games in Baton Rouge at the tailgate. Once December rolls around a lot if us will be back to Finns more regularly.

This whole board has been really slow this season. I'm busy as all hell and I barely get to watch Arsenal. The new year should be a little better but still. I know you are talking about Finn's, which I might visit around the new year, but still. I really wanna go on a strip club tour of Nola.

The soccer board needs a strong Arsenal

Probably. We also need a tactics thread, and have needed one for a long time. But I'm too lazy to start one and keep it going.

I would be much more engaged if we had a tactics thread. It's something I feel like I don't know as much about as I should and I would love guys like you to throw some knowledge my way. Would be very interested if we did one for each team as it would get me involved in watching every single match every weekend.

I can post some tactical stuff. Zonal Marking going away has kept me uninspired tactically, but I have some thoughts on what Arsenal is doing.

I don't think so.
A bunch of players were bought, but none were expected to have a big impact on the first team. Markovic, Lallana, Can and Lambert are squad players. Lovren, Balotelli and Moreno were the only ones bought to be automatic selections. And Lovren is a bust plain and simple.
When you look at our XI, it really isn't too different from last season.
Liverpool's problem at this point is a manager who spent 16m pounds on a pure centre-forward playing him as a fricking wide midfielder.
Against Newcastle he had one fricking touch in the box. One touch. Your #9. A tweet I read said that game Balotelli, Lambert and Borini had 45 touches in the box combined. That gameweek Aguero had 90 on his own. Says it all really.
In a single striker system you need players who can repeatedly feed your #9 chances. Against Newcastle, Sterling and Coutinho combined for 67% pass accuracy, 0 crosses, 0 chances created. Balotelli actually managed to create more chances, complete more crosses, and win more tackles than the creative midfielders. It's a flawed fricking system.
Against Chelsea he had zero touches in the box.

Lallana was sure expensive for a squad player.

We could also start a thread on how the tactical genius has all that talent below us in the table after playing the bottom feeders of the EPL so far... Tough four game stretch coming up too

and may be lucky to get 3 points out of the next 12

Sitting tied for fourth and claiming we're pulling a Totts is totally sensible.
hmmmmm
Like I said see how easy and quick that can change. We are two points clear of Liverpool and have pulled more points vs common opponents.
Posted on 11/9/14 at 9:28 am to StraightCashHomey21
Both teams are complete shite. 2 points is negligible. The startling thing is somehow we're still only 4 off of fourth.
Anyone with eyes and the tactical awareness of a U15 player can see this isn't pulling a Tottenham. It's not about the players, it's about a stubborn and foolish manager.

O now it means nothing but when Liverpool was a point up it was a talking point in this thread.
United seem to be at least improving with its new players while Liverpool not so much.

Yes about a stubborn manager who has wasted 100 million just like Spurs did after selling its best player.
Instead of bringing an impact player he pissed the money away. Brought in a whole bunch of new players like spurs did as well.
