The NBA draft lottery reform has been voted down at Board of Governors meeting, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. System stays.

Big markets -- Chicago and Washington -- voted against the reform, source says. Small market Sacramento voted for it. Strange twist.

Thirteen teams voted against the reform, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Pelicans fans going all high and mighty on the 76ers and tanking is fricking rich. You guys did it, got your star, and now nobody else should do it.

The Pelicans had a 1 year tank. The 76ers are in the middle of what will be at least a 5 year tank.

You obviously didn't watch them that season

That team played their fricking arse off actually. Every night.

They were just terrible. There was zero intentional tank about that team.

Didn't they sit Chris Kaman out while they attempted to trade him?

It sure made sense for them to vote no on this.

The organization tanked not the team. It is same thing

Lol what? The Hornets went 7-4 to end the season the year we ended up getting Davis in the draft.

Stop talking out of your arse you fricking idiot

It's not always easy to tell that a team is not tanking when the effort doesn't translate into wins.

For like a week

They didn't find a trade and he started playing again

That team was just bad, talent-wise. And injured. But they were fun to watch, they worked super hard every night and lost a lot of close games that year.

That 2011-12 Hornets team was one of my favorite bad teams I've followed

Does 7-4 to end the regular season translate to wins?

You're such a moron

Players don't tank. They will continue to play hard unless morale is low from losing.
But players don't intentionally set out to lose games on purpose.

The Sixers players aren't losing on purpose, either. They're just a bad team.

So the Hornets tanked just the same as the Sixers.

They still had the worst record in the West at 21-45 (66 game season). Hard to expect people who didn't follow the team back then to somehow think they weren't tanking.

They made a bad trade for CP3 (that the franchise is still paying for), and had guys like Aminu, Belinelli, Jason Smith, Xavier fricking Henry playing big minutes

It wasn't an intentional tank by the team. If they had a scheme from the beginning to frick up the CP3 trade then blame Stern, not the Hornets.

Anyone who thinks NO tanked that year has no idea what they are talking about. We traded CP3 cause we had to, and the results were as predicted. But in reality, the fans wanted them to tank and were conflicted as they watched the organization refuse to do it. Getting AD was a shock and statistical improbability.
