I would give him shite for scheduling it then in hopes he would change it. That's what I'd do.

That's what I am working on. He said he was going to talk to whoever planned this shite party.

Considering lsu is going to win this year because we haven't won since the 2010 regular season. Go to the game.

Yeah I told him he sucks but he didn't even know that was the date of it and he feels terrible now. Him and his family and fiance's family have never been the biggest football families so they prolly didn't even look at the schedule

i meant he is a dickhole for thinking that anyone cares enough about being best man to need it to be revealed as a surprise at a party.

It is beetween 3 of us that are really good friends throughout grade school and college and after college still. SO he hasnt been able to decide so i think he is just going to wait since he hasnt told anyone yet.

that is when you make your dad or brother your best man

but seriously, if he is one of your lifetime best friends, you go to his party and celebrate without hesitation IMO

This. Why people take something as insignificant as football so seriously is beyond Scruffy.

This is worse than a gender reveal party.

No friend of mine would schedule, or allow to be scheduled, any sort of wedding related douchebaggery on the day of LSU-Bama.

Or any football Saturday, for that matter, unless it was a party at Tiger Stadium.

AMEN!! I would never in any state of mind do this to my family or friends. In his defense, he had nothing to do with this, but if he were considerate enough he would have told them to make sure it wasn't on a football day.

Problem is he is announcing his best man at the party, which is a good possibility I can be the best man

is he going to do it with a hidden message in a cake?

I'm not one of those types that think all men should be tough and rugged, but damn...How fricking gay, or pussy whipped, is your friend? Not only scheduling an engagement party that day, but "announcing" his best man like it's a pageant contest?

Also, you have to go to the party. Sell your tickets for a markup and watch the game at the party.

Maybe he's going to write the name on a bunch of balloons in a box. Then he'll open the box when everyone is there and as they float up into the sky you'll know who the lucky friend is... awww
