I left at 9:45 with 8 minutes to go hoping to beat the traffic. I was forced to drive in the wrong direction for 15 miles going 10 miles/hour because police blocked off all left turns. Once I was finally able to go left, I had to U-turn and head back to where I came from. I tried to reach the interstate via Burbank but of course it was blocked off. I ended up returning to LSU where I left over an hour ago. I didn't end up getting to the interstate until 11:10! LSU is 5 miles away from the interstate by the way.

1) Erect giant, opaque bubble around Tiger Stadium.
2) Start the games at 2:00 PM.
3) At 2:00 PM, turn the lights off.
4) Make sure the bubble emanates a temperature and breeze agreeable to everyone.
5) At every seat, have a hairdresser for the women and a gal doing hand jobs for the men.
Problem solved.

My buddy complains for about 3 quarters every game about everyone leaving early, and then he leaves early.
If everyone on TD that complains about people leaving early actually stayed the whole game, the stadium would probably be 3/4 full at the end of the game.

I get so tired of hearing this. Of course they have a right to leave early. No one is saying they should be legally barred from leaving. You have a right to fart in church, or use racial epithets, or put ketchup on a filet mignon, or use the urinal right next to another guy when plenty of others are available. It's just that these things are strongly socially discouraged, and you should feel bad if you do any of them. Leaving Tiger Stadium early should be the same way.

I understand your point... I LOVE 2:30 games... Whats it matter... I mean the fans will hate it cause they can't sit there and get more fricked-up and stuff.... The mystique is LONG GONE IMO.......

The traffic hassle has a lot to do with people leaving early.
People leaving early all at once has made it easier to leave at the end of the game, and I'm sure it's made it more difficult for them at halftime.

Like 11a. More like Ohio St or something

I will leave early sometimes if it's a blowout just to try and get a jump on the traffic. My 3 1/2 hour drive home sucks enough without being stuck in traffic. When I say blowout though, I mean there is no doubt the game is over. Even then I will debate on whether to go or not if I'm looking forward to see some of the younger guys play. For that reason alone, I like earlier games. Let's all be honest here, with the way the stadium empties, the mystique of a night game in TS really isn't there anyways. It is ironic though that the same people who bitched last year about not having night games are now bitching because people leave early to beat the traffic.

This is the third worst idea I've ever seen on the Rant.

This is part of the project to ease the post game traffic. If half the crowd leaves at the half, and others trickle out during the 3rd quarter, those who stay until the end of the game have very little traffic problems.

Watching the bama & Black Bears' blowouts & noticing how their fans, for the most part, stayed the whole game or at least till mid way the 4th quarter. In the aubbie blowout, game over in the first quarter, their fans stayed the whole game, again, for the most part. TS has gone from the most special place to play because of its fans to the worst fans in the league. And all those empty seats prove my point. Fans do have the right to leave whenever they want, but then, quit beating your chests & claiming how great TS is.

I don't know why they can't stay. Our best performance of the season and watching these young guys get better before our eyes. Just fricking stay and enjoy it.
The student section is the first part to start emptying. Start taking a way ticket shares from them if they can't bd bothered enough to watch the game.

No
The myth of Tiger Stadium being dead is overblown
I was still living in Louisiana in 2011 and it was rocking every week
I went to the Bama game in 2012 and even though we lost it was incredible ti the end
Last year was a bad home schedule with a bunch of day games
This year we just have not been good nor have we been much fun to watch
Play better in big games and TS will be what it always has and always wi be. The best stadium in America

Start selling beer in the 3rd qtr and people might stay. Lol
Posted on 10/19/14 at 4:04 pm to AlaTiger
Sell alcohol.
And, if the bars stayed open till 4 I bet the student section would be packed the whole time.
