I might even go to Casa Garcia before Coyote Blues, and that place was just so-so.
Coyote Blues wasn't worth a 2nd trip; though I have been back a couple times due to it being the choice of others. Each time was as forgettable as the first.

Well, I'm at a loss to understand these comments. We've been there about a dozen times, every one an outstanding meal. Casa Garcia, CuCo's, Taqueria Corona and Casa Tequila are places we've enjoyed in the past, but I find "authentic" Mexican kind of unexciting and most Tex Mex just not as tasty as Coyote.
To each his own, I guess, but I've enjoyed Coyote better than any other Mexican/Tex Mex I've had, except for Manuel's Hot Tamales and Taco Tico in the old days.

I feed Casa Garcia to my turtle and he died. Place is terrible. Don Jose is better for crappy mex food.

Oh shut up, you kill all your family pets. First it was your dumb fish. Now it's a stupid turtle. You probably drank too much Abita and ate it.

CuCo's
Good times at CuCo's, free tacos and $1 margaritas @ the bar for Monday night football. Styx's cover band for Cinco De Mayo. Good times.

Haven't been to this location; however, the Baton Rouge location was great up until about a year ago--I dunno what happen Food is just not that great anymore, service is really slacking, and I've gotten sick after my last 2 visits.
That being said, I've heard the Laffy location (original one I believe) is outstanding. Never been.

In the same strip mall that Panera & Bonefish are in.

I've tried that Coyote Blues twice, and the service was horrendous both times. I won't make that mistake another time.

And again, the food was great.

Yes. Lafayette is the original location. I may be wrong on this, but was told it was bought from the original owner. Then they expanded to 5 stores over time.

This had better be a troll attempt

My wife and I just love this place. To me the food tastes just like what I always though Tex Mex should taste like. The premise is that it's Tex Mex food crossed with Louisiana seasonings.
It's a 5 restaurant, Louisiana-based chain, but we think it's the best Tex Mex in town. Highly recommended.
Sorry, forgot to take pics.
Are you for real? IMO it's the worst of all the Metaire Tex mex. Horrible service, high prices for the quality of food.. I prefer traditional Latin, but for Tex Mex even Casa Garcia and Don Jose blow CB out the water.

Are you spelling it wrong on Purpose?
Any mexican place on Williams is better.
