Cassidy knows he is not conservative and is counting on conservatives, as he said, "to hold their noses" and vote for him.

That irked me pretty hard.

The only way I vote for the guy now is if him getting elected is the only way the republicans regain the Senate.

Good thing is we will know as our runoff will be the last election. If the republicans have the Senate when the runoff comes about I am staying home.

I won't vote for Mary but I ain't going to vote for that smug SOB either unless I absolutely have too.

It may not be the last Senate election to be decided. That could very well be on January 6th.

Yeah. I'd rather stop paying Mary regardless.

Yes. Landrieu has to go.

I don't have a problem with Cassidy...and I wouldn't expect him to aggressively campaign until the runoff anyway.

If the runoff in Louisiana is the deciding election for the senate balance, turn off your TV until after it's over. The attack ads will be obscene.

If the alternative is Mary Landrieu in the Senate, then hell yes I will vote for Cassidy. Mary Landrieu does not put Louisiana ahead of the Democrat party. What good is her seniority if she doesn't use it to Louisiana's benefit?

Has there been a thread focused on Cassidy's contempt for conservatives??

I'd love to see the context of that quote. It's certainly couched strangely in the article and the author is clearly a shill.

A vote for Maness is a vote for Landrieu/Obama.

You want to blame the author for the Cassidy quote??? What other context could it have been?

I guess he could have said-"we are going to ignore conservatives because we know they won't have another choice and seek the independents and liberals" and perhaps that would have been more clear for you.

Good gawd you people are lemmings. Don't take that crap from a candidate.

People like you help elect Mary Landrieu. You should be ashamed.

The guy is not the most conservative guy, but he's not a snob.

You need to do the right thing and vote for the best candidate.

How about you vote for one the other Republicans on the ballot or the Libertarian? You know you don't have to do what the GOP tells you

Absolutely, in the run off. Mary does not represent my beliefs at all. This will be my forth time voting against her and hopefully it will be the last.
