know but its still a state we need to have good relations with, and giving a bunch of aid to the kurds is something they really do not want.
Yes but that are much more ok with it right now due to Daesh. Really they are ok with it so long as we don't "arm" the "terrorists" kurds in...

re: Why is Obama not arming Christians or non-muslims in the ME? - carbola
Well considering there are Christians in the Peshmerga... But to answer your question in general, where should we arm them? There isn't exactly a "standing Christian army" there to arm. Lebanon was supposed to be the Christian hub over there, and they only make up an estimated 41% there. W...

re: Labor Participation rate and the factors that impact that number - carbola
According to the BLS projections, the overall participation rate will continue its gradual decrease each decade and reach 60.4 percent in 2050.
Projecting that far out is just silly. We literally have no idea what will happen in the next 35 years that could possibly effect the la...

re: Let the freaks go to whatever public school bathrooms they want ... - carbola
I think the easiest solution to this is to not have Male and Female bathrooms. Just make Penis and Vagina bathrooms. You have one or the other, transgender or not, so use it accordingly....or just make unisex single stall bathrooms. Voids the whole issue. ETA: The victimization of a daughter i...

re: ISIS claims to have 71 fighters in the US in 15 states, name specific targets - carbola
I doubt the cartels would let that happen because if that base did perform any attacks in the US we would retaliate which would be horrible news for the drug smuggling operations....

Barzani in Washington, independent Kurdistan on the agenda - carbola
It seems a little crazy to me that in the middle of all of this the Kurds are still prioritizing their independence. I know they want it and were talking about civil war again when I was there, but it just seems weird in the middle of a current war they are pushing this agenda. Good for them I gue...

I didn't really read the article that was posted, but I wanted to share what all the Kurds told me when I was there last year and what was widely assumed to be true among all of them. Basically it boils down to once ISIS took over Mosul, Saddam Hussein's granddaughter was leading the group(s) S...

re: Walker (The Confederate ranger) vs State of Texas (great free speech case) - carbola
Aren't plates already regulated to where you cannot have vulgarity on them? On a milder level I feel this can be compared to having Pro-Life and Pro-Choice plates. Those most certainly offend a group of people on either side, but some states only offer one of the other....
