Where does Napoleon House fall in the NOLA restaurant hierarchy?

I'm being brought to a dinner there tomorrow night and I'm still fairly unfamiliar with the restaurant scene in the city. Where does this place fall? Any must haves on the menu?

Its not very good. I still enjoy going every once in a while for the ambiance though.

Roast beef po-boy and muff are good. But, the bar is better than the food.

They have a couple decent things -- muff, Greco panini -- but I rarely eat there. It is my absolute favorite bar in the world, though. Mario is one of the city's most underrated bartenders.

Get a Pimms and enjoy the atmosphere. Don't expect much from the food but they have a decent muffuletta

Historic attraction? Top tier. Food? Not so much
It's a cool place and well worth the visit. As others have said, stick to a sandwich and get a Sazerac or Pimm's Cup.

This was pretty much my expectation. Glad to know I wasn't far off
I'll enjoy the bar and a muff and have myself a good time regardless

Get the muff. Have a drink. Enjoy life.
Be grateful it's not a tshirt shop.

As others have said, the atmosphere is great. So is a Pimms Cup. Get one or more. Get the muff. The food is not the star. It's just ok. Everyone should hang out there awhile at some point.

Are you guys aware that you can rent out the rooms located above the bar/restaurant? I've stayed there on multiple occasions. Pretty cool little place.

The Pimm's Cup is meh. I've had much better at Carousel Bar, R Bar, Sazerac Bar... List goes on and on...

Pimms Cup, Muffaletta, table that looks out on the street and you will be in good shape.

I realize R Bar is not like the other two but they made me a dam good pimms cup. During strawberry season, they added fresh muddled strawberry and ginger. Hit the spot
