Got tickets to the show next Tuesday at the Forum. Anyone else going or know what they've been playing lately?

Saw them at JF 5 years or so ago and they put on a good show... SO saw them at ACL last Sunday and said it was a good show. Basically play songs that would be on their greatest hits collection.

Does Vedder still express all his political beliefs at concerts?

I caught the back third or so of their show at ACL, from a distance. Couldn't see much but I enjoyed it. I was afraid they'd play too much new stuff, but the song selection was solid IMO.

Saw them in Dallas. They played Jeremy. He said a few words just mainly to point out the subject of the song killed self near Dallas.

They are great.

Perhaps you missed the segment where he spoke about voter registration in Texas and how everyone needed to register because women lost their right to choose in the state.... Seemed political to me

Didn't he give a Katrina speech at VooDoo Fest last year? I heard he went on a rant and blamed the government for not sending help and all this other crap you don't wanna hear at a concert.

fricking communist.

If you never really liked them fine, let your jimmies be rustled. But if they were to you what they were to me in the early 90's you are sad to let a guys politics ruin your chance to enjoy a great show.

I really expected him to go on a rant about guns. He didn't.

I really wanted to go. It may be their last go around. I've read their set list so far this year and it's all hits with a small handful of songs off their new album which are not that bad live.

"Sing the Hits! None of your new music! You're not allowed to speak your mind either!" - say people that don't actually like said band.

Kinda wish I was going. My buddy saw them last night in Tulsa. He's seen PJ at least a dozen times and said last night was one of their better shows he's seen.

Saw them in St Louis last weekend. Did not mention any politics at the show. Did talk Cardinals baseball though. Even if he had made political comments that I would have disagreed with, it would not have effected how great of a show it was. Set list was top notch that night, band sounded great and so did Eddie.

This. And never mind that all the artists who were criticized for speaking out against the Iraq war turned out to be 100% correct. The shame is now they've stopped speaking out bc you can't criticize Obama.
