After seeing firsthand what happens in the last weeks/days of dying from a brain tumor, I'll move to Oregon.

Jesus Christ, these kinds of stories have really been getting me down lately.

1. The government should run health care.
2. Euthanasia should be legal.

You know where I see this going? The government decides when you are worth paying for.

Seeing how controversial euthanasia is and how anyone outside of Oregon can't even do it if they want to, it's hard to believe that it will be allowed for people who don't want it.

I'd want to to spend every day that I felt healthy alive and with family. How many days will her husband and family miss that she would have otherwise looked and felt relatively fine?

All I can think is that she is already starting to experience the effects of the cancer, or the doctors are convinced her condition will deteriorate quickly. She must sense that she doesn't have much longer to enjoy anything.

Brain tumors are terrible. Everything can change within a matter of hours.

There are some downright moronic comments on that page.

Thanks to today's half-witted medical system, and our poor food supply, yes, she probably would die from the brain tumor ..

But it doesn't have to be that way.

First thing I would do is quit following her doctor's bad advice ..

Next, I'd start fasting - filtered or spring water only for at least a few days ..

Then I'd follow something similar to the Daniel Diet - clean/pure water and organic vegetables ..

Ultimately I'd probably gravitate towards Jordan Rubin's 'Maker's Diet,' exercise, plenty of sleep etc. ..

Systemic fungus may be behind the creation and growth of the tumor ..

Other stuff that helps: vitamins/minerals, probiotics, silica/collagen, green superfoods, healthy fats etc.
Doctors don't know everything - most of them know nothing about fungi.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is an absolutely terrible way to die. Surgery on the tumor can prolong life for 6-12 months but many times it is too large to resect. I would probably do something similar as this girl.

That seems fast. Doctors gave her 10 years, but she decides to end it in less than 1 year. I would wait until shite starting getting bad. Or maybe it already is with the headaches. I definitely support her right, but I don't think I could make that decision so quickly.

this.

Did you two read the article? She was originally diagnosed with a grade II astrocytoma and given 10 years. Then was re-diagnosed with a grade IV GBM where most people die within 18 months.

To each his own, but there is no way I would go out like that. I'd like to think I'd be a fighter until the last day. Given 18 months and you give up after 1.

That's not the point of this story.

I just couldn't do it like that; I'd want to fight light hell to the end.

Not saying she is afraid to, but she isn't just giving up on herself. She is giving up on everyone that loves or cares for her after 5% of the time she was given.

Yes, it does scare me, if it happens before "my time". Meaning, a random check up where they "find something" and it's, oh yeah, you have a year to live.

I watched my dad go from a very young 70 years old, playing golf three times a week, going on trips and living a good life. When he was 72 he looked 90 from radiation, chemo and surgery. He told me before he died that he wished he would have just continued as long as he could have without treatment and let the disease take its course.

So she should go on living and suffering because you or other people think she's giving up? That makes complete sense.

That's BS. None of us will ever know what she's going through and anyone who claims she's giving up on those that love or care for her are the most selfish a-holes I could ever imagine.

Why? I can be convinced but that statement pushes me more to the fight to the bitter end side.
