Experience flying Porter Airlines or Air Canada?

I'm flying to Toronto next month and these two as well as United all have the cheapest prices.
Has anybody here used either airline, and if so what were your thoughts? The flight will only be about 90 minutes to 2 hours, so I don't need anything too special

Thought Air Canada was great. Prefer over major US domestics.

Fly Air Canada regularly, its alright. They don't take cash on the plane for drinks. Usually if there is a delay or your card isn't working they will give you a free drink.

Air Canada is good. They hardly ever crash.

Both are good, but AC will be a little better (service, aircraft). Porter only flys turboprops currently.
Plus AC is in the star alliance so if you have a frequent flyer account with a star carrier you can earn miles on your AC flight.

Thanks for the advice
United has always been hit or miss for me so I was looking for something new

Porter and Air Canada are both excellent, service is top notch and very reliable.
Just a heads up Porter is all turboprop, that may be a deal breaker for some folks.
Flying to Toronto, take note. Porter uses Toronto City Airport-YTC while AC uses Pearson Intl-YYZ

I should note if you are flying from Chicago, YYZ is a pre clear facility so you would clear customs in Canada and arrive at O'Hare as a domestic passenger.
YTC is not so when you arrive at Midway you will be processed there.
Just curious, but why not AA from ORD?

I usually fly AA, but for the dates I'm flying the others had better deal. Plus I haven't been a fan of AA the past few times I flew with them
I will be flying into YYZ if that is the case with customs, plus O'Hare is easier for me to get to

Fair enough, all things being equal I'd recommend Porter, especially if your trip is taking you to downtown Toronto.

Just saw your edit, traffic alone here in Chicago will make me bite the bullet just to favor one airport over the other.
Have a good trip
