That's what I've been thinking. I'm not a savy investory so I was thinking of just dumping money into a wellington fund for the time being. What do you guys think?

eta: I've got 5k to invest initially.

I went with WVINX myself, after starting in STAR.

But my Roth also makes up my last line emergency fund in the event of large scale medical emergency/job loss (I contribute ~20% into the 401k so the Roth contribution/earnings are just extra cushion from a retirement perspective).

TD ameritrade. It took like 20 min to set up by myself and has been very user friendly.

Schwab. Great customer service, fair price on trading and a fair amount of flexibility on what I can hold.

I have mutual funds with Fidelity and like their service overall. Easy to communicate with CS and they are actually very helpful and happy to do it. The board seems to love Vanguard and I may start looking into them as well.

Scottrade due to simplicity and $7 trades... I have been pleased, but if I were to do it over again I would use Vanguard
