Popping my Venice cherry this weekend

Booked a room at the fin and feather hotel and will be staying down there fri, saturday, sunday.
Trying to shoot some teal on the WMA, dont as me which one or where because im not big on bird hunting. just along for the ride.
Anyway, i wanna fish when i go down there, but dont have a clue where to go. i have a 18' sterling (flats boat. looking to catch bass, reds, specks, anything really. any good pointers on where i should go?

me and a fellow ob'er will be headed down friday as well around lunch to hunt all weekend, i plan on redfishing as well. we are staying in Empire and hunting venice.

Yeah, beer and the game are on the list of must do's. hope our room catches it or we will have to go find someplace that does.

Reds are can't miss in the river and passes as of 3 hours ago. Caught and released 40 wouldn't bother with the wagon wheel just fish the river and passes. Teal are there but not thick. That being said we have managed limits since Saturday. Would invite u to camp for game but leaving on Friday morning for Covington and then BR for game. If u have trouble finding fish post up I'll try and help.

When you say" in the passes" are u fishing in the passes itself..... As in miss river, pass coming off of it, drive in some and fish the bank?

I heard the bass are on. The few times I went we smoked bass and reds on spinnerbaits.

I'm down here for the next 3 days. Gonna go after the reds and teal and maybe even some hogs on private land.

Yes! This is when Venice is magic.
Bass aren't on fire yet but are starting to bite we are catching limits last few weeks but working for them.
