you really use 30lbs braided line for redfish? How far are you able to cast with that light spinner on there?

7' Rod
Spinning reel
10-15# Mono Usually 12#.
Gold Spoon or a chartreuse Cocahoe like the Lemonhead Matrix (many other flavors work too) Reds aren't that picky.

Best way for taking others fishing for reds is with live shrimp or live cocahoe 2-3' under a popping cork. But I'd rather fish with artificials.

7'6 MH falcon coastal rod

Black and chartruese bayou chub

If there is a ton of grass then i'll use a spoon with a 16" mono leader.

7'6" M fast action rod (currently have vendettas that need to be upgraded)
Shimano Sustain 2500 reel
30# braid
30# flouro leader

Or

7' M medium action St. CROIX triumph rods
Lews speedspool tourney series reels
12 lb mono

I throw a lot of different baits, but standard first things tied on are spoons on the spinning reels and spinner baits on the bait caster.

Depends on where I'm at bait wise...
But in Reggio/Delacroix
7' falcon coastal md
14lb siege suffix or pline mono
Shimano citica/ curado
17-20lb leader sometimes
Gold spoon with the golf ball type pattern on it

Other places:
Same equipment different bait
Either popping cork with gulp shrimp/voodoo or
Lead head popping off the bottom with the chautruese curly tail gulp.

When ever I've been getting skunked I've always been able to catch one on a cracked crab, if one happened to swim by close enough for me to net him.
