I'm sure this topic has been discussed before. I live in Baton Rouge and get my TV service from Cox and have wireless phone from AT&T that cost $25 per month. My Nautic Star has all Atwood Tsunami's for live wells and bilge pumps. Had a couple of them go out, but only because I left the water pickup pump running when i was in less that a foot of water and it picked up mud and sand....

I would remove the duct as close to the air handler as possible. If you cap it where the register is now, you will still be pushing air into a "deadleg" duct that once capped with no where for the air to go may sweat due to condensation and cause a moisture problem in the attic....
