re: Lawn care gurus: Need your opinions - jobbieman
Had rough experience with TruGreen in my area.
I had TruGreen fertilizing my yard about three years ago. Happened to be home on two different occasions and noticed that they fertilized my yard twice during the same week in late September. The second guy was finished before I could ...

I know this topic has been posted before, but I was not able to find old posts doing a search. How does one go about obtaining a pass to fish the Tidewater area in the Leeville, Golden Meadow, area? Thanks! ...

re: outdoor patio countertop question - jobbieman
whats the best way to do that? remove the stains?
I would try household bleach first and if this does not work, you may want to try muriatic acid. Make sure that you have good ventilation, and if you have a scrap piece of stone, I would try it on the scrap first. The acid will...

re: outdoor patio countertop question - jobbieman
The markings are from lazy workers. Not sure how to fix it. I'd call the workers back out. One of those stains is a perfect circle from something toxic that was laid on it. But you could always concrete stain easily:
I agree that the stains were caused by the installers. Personal...

re: Furniture Finishing Question - jobbieman
If you're not looking for a urethane or lacquer type high gloss finish, i would suggest using a paste wax such as Briwax which is a blend of Beeswax and Carnuba. It's rubbed on with a soft lint free cloth and buffed out with #0000 steel wool between coats. You can apply as many coats as needed to ...

re: Substandard Boat Launches - jobbieman
I personally don't think that the LDWF needs to regulate private boat launches. IMHO the new launch that they had constructed in Leeville leaves much to be desired. ...

re: Baton Rouge Boat Storage - jobbieman
I stored my 22' bay boat at Climadtor on Bluebonnet near Burbank for about 2 years. Cost was $154.00 per month. Price is based on the length of boat. You can call anytime during the week and they will pull it out of storage and help you hook it to your vehicle. They also have a fenced yard for ...

trolling motor question - jobbieman
I am currently restoring a Gheenoe and I plan to mount a 9.9 tiller type outboard on the stern and would like to mount a 12 volt trolling motor on the bow. Looking at Minn Kota's options for tiller type trolling motors, it appears that they are all configured for stern mounting. If I tried to use ...

re: Thoughts on Miles & LSU Football - jobbieman
I agree with much of what you said in your post. Personally I see no reason to be optimistic as long as Jennings will be the quarterback. If I were Joe Alleva, I would have Les come into my office and ask him "just what do you plan to do differently with the 2015 team to put a better product on t...

re: Converting diesle/hydrolic tank to smoker - jobbieman
All of the suggestions concerning cleaning with detergent and burning the interior with wood are good ideas. Most importantly make sure that you flush the tank with plenty of water and use a saber saw to perform the initial cuts. A small amount of residual fuel can cause a big fire or explosion....

re: Anybody replaced railing on pirouge? - jobbieman
Thanks for the advice of picking the rails up from Chapman to retrofit my Gheenoe. The gentleman I spoke with at Chapman (I think his last name was Gerace), said that the synthetic rails that Chapman is now using on their porgies, are the same as what Gheenoe uses. ...

re: Anybody replaced railing on pirouge? - jobbieman
I recently "inherited" a 15'4" Gheenoe and the top rails are smashed and unusable. Gheenoe says they have no way of shipping new rails to me. I would like to know your source for the rails you mentioned in your post. Any other Obers that have a source for similar material will be welcome also....

re: Yamaha Sho vs Yamaha in-line four outboard - jobbieman
I have the SHO 225 on my Nautic Star 2200 TE. As far as fuel economy, I have no complaints. If I'm running in relatively smooth conditions at about 3,000 to 3,500 RPM's, I can get about 3.5 miles per gallon. The SHO also has a great hole shot. It is really designed for bass boats as opposed to ba...

re: What are yalls expectations for LSU baseball next year? - jobbieman
In the words of Smoke Laval. If we could have hit the breaking ball, not had as many batters strike out on fast balls, fielded better, and scored more runs than the other teams we would have won more games....
