I just bought some from Clegg's on Siegen last month. St. Augustine - It was either $250 or $260 for the pallet. Centipede should be slightly less.
Cleggs gets their sod from Woerner. I have been at Woerner's when the Clegg's truck was there picking up a load of sod. My assumption...

re: Jennings vs. Harris - jobbieman
Neither one is very good, so who cares. If we're unable to pound the ball with our running game, we'll be doing good to win 6 or 7 games this season....

I like your analysis Striped Bass. Of course this is the rant and the amount of thought that went into what you stated is often overlooked by the Rant. We'll see how things play out from here. ...

re: I need some OB woodworking help - jobbieman
It's a little hard to tell exactly what the window looks like without the trim piece. If you have a flat rounded edge all the way around the window, you can screw a piece of MDF over the area and use your router with trim bit and bearing to follow the edge of the window. This will provide your tem...

re: I want to install washed gravel in area between house & shed. How to? - jobbieman
I personally would put down hardware cloth and #57 limestone as opposed to gravel. Limestone will compact over time and can be regraded as needed. Gravel does not compact as well as limestone....

re: if someone stole your rods and tacklebox. What would you be more upset at losing - jobbieman
My tackle box was stolen from my vehicle in a restaurant parking lot. In order to turn my loss into my insurance company, I had to itemize the tackle box, Plano boxes, baits, tools etc. When I totaled everything up it came to $1,600.00 and It was all marsh/saltwater equipment. I can't even imagin...

re: outdoor patio countertop question - jobbieman
whats the best way to do that? remove the stains?
I would try household bleach first and if this does not work, you may want to try muriatic acid. Make sure that you have good ventilation, and if you have a scrap piece of stone, I would try it on the scrap first. The acid will...
The markings are from lazy workers. Not sure how to fix it. I'd call the workers back out. One of those stains is a perfect circle from something toxic that was laid on it. But you could always concrete stain easily:
I agree that the stains were caused by the installers. Personal...

re: Furniture Finishing Question - jobbieman
If you're not looking for a urethane or lacquer type high gloss finish, i would suggest using a paste wax such as Briwax which is a blend of Beeswax and Carnuba. It's rubbed on with a soft lint free cloth and buffed out with #0000 steel wool between coats. You can apply as many coats as needed to ...
