I never understood this, why is scoring 70 against garbage teams so ejaculate worthy when it comes to the media but throwing back to back shutouts, the media doesn't care?

ITs a conspiracy.

The tiger rant knows about the vast anti-lsu conspiracy.

Who cares if the media cares? If we handle business in the SEC we'll be looking good regardless.

Shutout, fine.

But you know who else scored 31 against Monroe? Idaho.

Offense is attractive to the media more so than defense

How'd that work out for them?

I honestly don't care because a) we're only three games into the season, let it play out, and b) I don't want to anoint this defense until we've actually faced a decent passing team.

Scoring 70 points against any team is somewhat impressive. I remember LSU did that once back in the 90's.

They are called rent a wins, they only matter if we lose or almost lose.

Probably a good bet UL-Monroe was as sky high playing Idaho as they were playing state school.

Not the point.

No one should care that you shut out an FCS school in Sam Houston. Though the Heisman TD pose during scrub time was a nice touch.

I'll concede that a shutout against Monroe is somewhat noteworthy, but only scoring 31? Who gives a shite?

I don't think football works this way.

Yeah, I was pissed when the shutout of Sam Houston wasn't the leading story on sports center

You also can't use the transitive property in sports. Doesnt work like that

I agree. But again, that wasn't my point.

I'm not equating LSU to Idaho. But I am equating the noteworthiness of LSU's 31 point performance over Monroe to the noteworthiness of Idaho's 31 point performance against Monroe.

It doesn't fricking matter and no one in the national media should be talking about LSU because of the last two weeks, good night.
