Is it a pretty common thing to throw some chopped bell peppers in the pot know?

2 different friend's houses to watch football and both of them put bell peppers in.

I don't add it to mine and didn't really care for the taste it made in the jambalaya.

I use them. I usually use bell peppers and garlic any time I use onions.

I use some red and green. I throw in right before the rice without sautéing. They add some good color.

I mostly use yellow onion, green onions and celery in my jambalaya and save the bell peppers for my gumbo.

Nothing green in my Jambalaya. Just yellow onions, meat, rice and spice.

I not only put bell peppers in my jambalaya, I put one chopped jalapeno in it too.

It just doesn't come together like I like without Onions, celery, bell peppers, garlic, and green onions

I like your style. However since my kiddos love jambalaya I am no longer able to cook it to my likings anymore. It's their world...I'm just livin in it.

Same here. But I only use half as much bell pepper as I do onion. And I chop it fine.
