3 starters in the secondary pulled out of lineup last night minutes before kickoff over eligibility issues

before game 1 they werent allowed off the bus until everyone could be cleared, and they missed part of warmups and 5 players were deemed ineligible

and if you remember because they didnt get paperwork in time in the spring all their winter/spring sports were banned from postseason

The article you posted displays an administration who is doing a complete and thorough job of handling challenges not presented to other administrations.

If anything, they should be commended for their handling of affairs.

Their job performance is manipulated by the NCAA clearinghouse, an entity they have no control over.

What's so funny?
If you had any clue into what those admins are challenged with regarding the clearinghouse, you wouldn't be laughing.

Just the numbers/volume make their job more challenging than the same required of others .

Heard on the radio the other day they were asking for food donations to feed the team.

Seems like you would try to get this done before the coin flip.
I can only compare it to other universities. Have not heard of many if any situations like this.

Players are waiting to be cleared. The clearinghouse could call at anytime. They have no concern for Southern's time , or anyone else, when rendering their decision. It would be negligent of Southern to not have their players ready and have the NCAA call minutes before the game clearing the players in doubt.

It's easier to tell a player he can't play after getting dressed, than have a player in street clothes and get the call minutes before kickoff.

Are you talking about the number of athletes the athletic department has to deal with with grade issues?

I believe every word of it.
I'll give you the chance to show everyone just how much you know.

How many Southern players were at risk for the Cajun game?

Should the coach have left Baton Rouge for Lafayette without those players?

Should the players in question got on the bus for Lafayette?

It's a clearinghouse problem. Most universities have the same problem. They just don't face the numbers problem Southern is facing.

Edit: it's a combination of both, due to numbers if I has to guess
