Get ready, New York, Cajun cuisine is headed your way.

Cochon's Chef de Cuisine Matt Woodall will lead the charge as Cochon takes over Momofuku Sssam as part of their late night dining series.

While details are still in flux, the event is scheduled to take place on October 7. If precedent holds true, the event will start around 11:45 p.m. Tickets sales will begin September 16, when more details about the dinner will also be released.

Whether or not Momofuku will reciprocate the road trip is still up in the air, but one would hope they'll bring their steady supply of pork buns to New Orleans. Momofuku has a history of restaurant reciprocity, traveling to Chicago for a night at The Publican and Philadelphia to Zahav after they visited the East Village space.

In case anyone is living up there (Quail Man?) and feeling homesick.

You and me both. The pork buns were awesome, but the best thing I had there was a sort of chinese sausage and dumpling (or gnocchi) dish.

No problem broseph. I thought of you immediately when I saw this.

Apparently tickets for this fly off the shelf fast for other popups.

I haven't gotten to any of the Momofuku stuff yet. Next time I go back I want to try.

Last time I was there, there was a blizzard. We were staying like two blocks from a Momofuku milk bar. It was dark and snowing, but I wanted to try it. So we walked there, in a blizzard.

When we get there, my wife sees that there's no where to sit and its just to go. So...we leave.

I'm right behind you on that one. I had a chance to eat at Momofuku KO in July and it was a completely mind blowing experience. I'd love to have the opportunity to eat David Chang's food again without having to fly all the way up to NYC.

David Chang is one reason why I'm excited about moving to NYC

That is the one. The cookbook has a recipe for it, but sourcing is difficult. However, the pork butt recipe is fantastic.

I've been to the noodle bar for Changs fried chicken, best fried chicken I ever had.

I may have to try to get tickets for this Cochon pop up

big David Chang fan here, but i was underwhelmed when i went to one of his restaurants 'Peche' last year. it was a decent meal, but not mind-blowing in the ways that you've come to expect from his food.

Now i've gone to Ssam and Ko and have been blown away by those places.

Sidebar: Has anyone on this board been to Cochon lately? It's rarely discussed here and I haven't been in 3 years.

Just curious.

I still make it to Cochon every now and then, but if I am over there it is hard not to go to Butcher instead. Its still rocking and rolling though.
