Did it compare to Houston the Saturday before or was it reasonable?

On Friday night at midnight I had a 2.75x charge. Personally for me I didn't care. I got home in less than 15 minutes when it would normally take me at least an hour to call a cab and get home. Cab would normally cost me ab 20 and this Uber cost me 40 so it was about doubt a cab.

I think the max is 2.5x fares but I'm not sure there will ever be a problem for gameday cab service

ETA: Outside a personal driver and I was obviously wrong about 2.5x

Yea I was shocked when I got a 2.75x charge. I was really drunk and didn't give at the time. I had to setup my tailgate at 7:15 am the next morning so I was happy to get home.

2.75X is not bad at all...I've never taken a cab after a game, but in the past did they maintain normal rates, did the rates increase, or did they just spit out some random number when asked how much?

Was 2.25 for us I think.

As far as comparing it to taxis, the only advantages I've seen so far is the GPS tracking and a nicer car. The prices aren't much different than the cabs

Totally agree. It's not the prices that I like. It's the nicer vehicles and the fact that I don't have to aimlessly wait for a cab. I know when and where.

Its how much more they are charging you. 2x is two times the normal price.

It's a supply vs demand marker. When there is more demand than supply, they raise the price of your ride.

Can't beat that 10.5Xs I got in Houston last week.

If I'd have accepted that ride it'd have been $300 cab ride.

So it just goes up according to an event or something?

I rode for free all weekend in Houston with promo codes, but my rides were like $13 anyway.

BR this past Saturday night at 1am: $21 from JenJean/Burbank intersection to Boone (Highland/Lee intersection).

Is Houston short on drivers?

Most I've ever gotten in Atlanta is 2x I think, and that includes Labor Day and other mega weekends. I got 1.25x about 30 minutes after the Falcons-Saints on Sunday.

Bunch of lazy people trying to over inflate the X's in my opinion. That's my theory on LSU Houston weekend.

Houston Friday night:
Distance - 2.08 miles - Price (before my promo code that made it free) - $8.68

Houston Saturday before the game:
Distance - 6.34 miles - Price (before another promo I had that made it free) - $11.59

Lyft in Houston right outside of the stadium after the game:
Distance - 6.7 miles - Price (before promo that made it free) - $22

Baton Rouge Uber at 1:00AM this past Saturday night:
Distance - 1.78 miles - Price - $20.94

Houston made me fall in love, but I have to admit I felt a little gypped paying $21 to go less than 2 miles in BR.

My Uber was the same price to go almost 7 miles in Houston directly after the game as it was to go almost 2 miles in BR 4-5 hours after people were rushing out of game.

ETA: I recognize that I did Lyft after the game in Houston, which is not affiliated with Uber.
