Public opinion means a lot to the owners. Goodell gave the association a serious and unnecessary black eye.

the owners could trip and fall out of their luxury boxes and land on beds of $100. they're banking so I doubt he goes anywhere.

I don't think he will be fired, but the general public really doesn't like him or trust him now. I wouldn't trust an ESPN poll, but if the owners ( headed by Benson maybe) conducted a genuinely independent poll on how the average American views Roger Goodell's 44 million dollar a year job performance, they are going to be shocked at the negative percentage.

lol, less than 0%. He is the Almighty. The media is doing everything they can to protect him right now as we speak and you think he will be gone? It's not like he the name "Roger Goodell" is "offensive" to Native Americans, then he'd be a goner.
