paying new orleans a visit for the first time since 2007. I really would like to find a hole in the wall
PoBoy place with good gumbo, music and ice cold beer. Where would you recommend?

Here we go. The shrimp at Parkway is my personal favorite. The RB there needs salt.

I still have much work to do. Never been to Seither's or Sammys. Too many damn good po boys in this city.

I like the fried shrimp w/ Swiss and roast beef gravy at Domilise's

I also like the root beer glazed Chisesi ham and the fried chicken livers w/ slaw at Mahony's, but their poboys are too expensive

Depends on where ya staying in Nola...

Domilise's - uptown
Johnny's - FQ
Verdi Marte - FQ
Parkway - Mid City

My personal fav is the shrimp for parkway, add Swiss n gravy with side of fries and an Abita and you are set

They do have a little Magazine tax worked into the price but damn they overstuff those poboys. Top to bottom great poboys.
