I usually just get ginger ale. Not sure why, but I've never drank alcohol on a plane. Damn near everywhere else, though.

I pound a few stiff drinks before I get on, then pass out once on. Unless it's an international flight with free booze, and then I stay awake and take advantage of the free wine until I pass out.

In my older age, I tend to just drink water to stay hydrated and not feel like crap at my destination. If it's a short flight, I do a Maker's and ginger.

Crown is pretty shitty, and I will never understand the love it gets in Louisiana. Based on that, I'd say go ahead and change it up.

Ginger Ale. I don't know why, because I rarely drink it any other time.

Me too. If I'm getting a non alcoholic drink on a plane (which is rare as shite) it's always a ginger ale. Only time I drink it. Don't know why either, it's awesome.

Go to real drinks:

Woodford on the rocks
Screwdriver
Bloody

depending on the mood.

Ginger ale or cranberry. Maybe a bloody mary on rare occassion. Something with bigger flavor to combat muted taste.

It's your subconscious knowing the carbonation in ginger ale will settle your stomach through the elevation changes.
