I noticed him after the game with his head down and just looking extremely disappointed.. Not sure if he was mad at himself or his o line or what,
But I feel for the kid because he probably feels like he let the entire fan base down by not having 300 yards rushing and 6 tds.. Has to be a world of pressure on a 18 year old kid

Anyone else notice that?
And if it counts for anything he hasn't posted a single picture or a single tweet since before the game. For those that like social media

His time will come. It's a learning experience.

He had a couple of mental mistakes but he certainly showed promise. For it being his first game as a true freshman, I thought he did well.

Other than the dropped pitch, there isn't a lot that you can criticize.

it's prob one of the few, if ever, times in his life where he hasn't completely dominated

it will prob further humble him and make him even MORE motivated to be the GOAT

I just rewatched the game. He had some pretty good runs. I don't think he played nearly as poorly as most do. The missed pitch really hurt him, but other than that I thought he was solid.

He could've bounced outside for a TD, but it was his first game. I'm excited to see him in action again.

Always. Forever.

His rushing avg really wasn't that bad. Two plays cost him like 16 yards. He would have had around a 4.0 avg without those losses

I do. No matter he is an 18 year old kid. The expectations placed on him are so ridiculously high. I could not imagine the pressure he must have felt stepping out in front of a crowd of 75k or whatever it was. I would have shite my pants

Why would he feel down? He's naive if he thought he was going to get 300 rushing yards in this game. I hope no poster believes he was going to achieve that in his first game.

Yeah but i just decided that I'm gonna get out of bed every morning... breathe in and out all day long. Then, after a while I won't have to remind myself to get out of bed every morning and breathe in and out... and, then after a while, I won't have to think about how an 18 year old didn't have the game of his life on his first try. One day at a time. one day at a time.

well to be honest some of these recruits bring it upon themselves with espn annoucements and hat picking and waiting till last moment but he was jelling up well with the audience after the game so he did seem upbeat

Just a first game in his 3-4 year career here. He'll come around.

Heard this morning on the radio someone had a good insight of what could have been going on. With all the hype around him and hiw thoughts of himself he was pressing and overwhealmed.

Almost like Reggie Bush coming int othe league with New Orleans, he thought and expected that he would have a homerun play everytime like in high school but learned real quick he isn't bigger and faster than everyone.

He will be fine just needs to have the game slow down and needs to be more decisive.

The fact that the coaches let him return the first KO of the year as a true freshman as well as giving him that many touches in the first game speaks volumes about the confidence the coaching staff has in him.

He'll get his yards the next two games.

Les will keep him grounded and focused.

Of course, he may need an interpreter.

If the attitude and work ethic that everyone attributes to him is real, then this weekend's experience will just motivate him. I look forward to seeing him tear it up Saturday.
