Mett didn't light up the star sheet either against TCU (50%)

Jennings showed why we've been excited for him and that he has big play ability and can be decisive with his throws. Once this offense gels we'll be exciting and deadly

If he gets to where he's completing 60% of his throws we're gonna have a great offense.

What I like though he hit the WRs in stride on the deep throws...completed only 9 passes but for 238 yards and 2 TDs

Jennings throws a nice spiral, has a good spin move, I saw him chew some arse as well. He looks like a good QB to me.

He will get much better during the next 4 games.

Desean Smith dropped a pass right in his hands. I did not get to see the replay but a screen pass to Fournette looked catchable. I think Jennings will be fine at Quarterback.

Lets just go ahead and stop with the Mett comparison.

He needs to be named the guy and take all the reps at practice. The 2 QB system is hurting the timing of the offense.

I think Mett was playing in a less vanilla offense. More room for error with the play calls Mett was getting.

What AJ has in common with Mett is that a large portion of LSU's half-wit fan base is critical of him. Yet, now that Mett's gone, everyone suddenly "misses" him.

They were talking about his lack of arm strength on TV, but he slung several that were low, tight, long, and fast as hell. I'd say all the potential is there.

Jennings will be fine if he gets more work/confidence in his short game. He needs to settle down in the pocket and learn to trust his protection.

His touch on the short stuff needs improving. He's much better, and has always been, on his deep throws..

I liked the way he played, his percentage will get better after they fix the screen pass issue. I liked the way he threw the ball, was accurate and had a cannon for the deep balls.

Wasn't even close to being impressed but I'm hoping for the best.

Play calling was ultra conservative early in the game. I think Jennings showed that he can be trusted to open the play book more. He had some bad breaks with receivers dropping passes and a couple of missed interference calls. But overall he made smart decisions and was pretty accurate.

Trusting protection is key. The spin move in the pocket takes his eyes from the receivers down field. He'll get there.
