Said all night training wheels need to come off. I stand by that. Excited for the next few years with him.

AJ played a nice game. I know of a couple of passes that should have been caught that would have resulted in about 60 yards more and a few more points on scoreboard. Most of his passes were good looking in form. I watched a few other games yesterday where seasoned QB's didn't look as good and still won. LSU should be fine with AJ starting and Harris coming in every once and awhile to give opposing defenses something else to think about.

I think both of those passes, the defender got a hand on the ball.

I think what's getting overlooked is that Jennings seems to play better under pressure. Twice he's been in games where he was down in the 4th quarter and twice he's lead the comeback. I though he showed poise and had great command of the huddle. He looked in control of the checks at the LOS and threw some really accurate balls. He made some mistakes he needs to correct but I love how he carries himself. He's a winner. If he can continue to improve I think we can have a special season.

Did you change the channel while Wisconsin was on offense?

Good grief, did you even watch the game? Except for a couple throws, I thought Jennings played very poorly. Yes, the play calling, especially in the first half, was abysmal, but Jennings had no command of the game.

We got very lucky that Wisky lost two of the DLs and their QB was just awful.

You've still yet to offer anything of substance to refute what I said.

I'm not comparing him to Mett or JR. I'm evaluating him on what he was asked to do and the situations we've put him in.

I think Jennings is very talented at moving out of the pocket and keeping his head downfield while pressing the LOS.

The TD throw to Dural was not an easy pass, fantastic touch.

It's so easy to bash & criticize Jennings because the camera is always on him during the game but how do we know the young receivers weren't making mistakes down the field? Without overhead & endzone views nobody knows for sure.

The entire offense is young at the skill positions so we must expect inexperience type mistakes. This first game will give Cam Cameron footage to use as a learning tool to correct any mistakes that were made. So before basing what will happen the rest of the season off of one game, some need to learn to have patience. The season is marathon & not a sprint. The next 2 games are "rent a wins" but they are also crucial developmental games for many of the young players to get prepped for conference play.

Do people really consider Wisc a big program?

they are a 3rd tier national power, if that.

i just hated the speed option plays, Jennings can move but he's not quick enough for that

One of his longer passes the WR got behind the defender but the ball was under thrown and it brought the DB back in to the play.

Against some SEC defenses that's a likely pick. The amount of air under his long balls concerns me. We'll see how it plays out. Overall it was a gutsy performance.

Regardless, Wisconsin is a perennial Top 20 ranked team. That is a very solid football program.
