I'm not suggesting that it would be better. I'm trying to write a novel and need some educated opinions. I'll settle for a short story if I'm unable to find enough economic, political and historical scholars to help me write it.

I don't have an opinion, I just think it's an incredibly fun topic to explore. The main focuses are on the Cold War and the acquisition of oil and strategic alliances.

Obviously, any Jew on Earth would have nothing at all to gain. They'd be in a worse state. But the idea is just the NAZIs winning and where things could be now. The protagonist is either a young Muslim or Jewish man, depending on the opinions I get and ideas that may spin off.

Of course Hitler lost WW2, but what this book presupposes is, what if he hadn't?

I edited it. I was thinking of writing something about the positive effects of a strong, deliberate and entirely committed major European power. I'd still like to write about that, but calling it "better" really wasn't accurate.

Yes. It's basically a novel that assumes that the NAZIs had won the war. Whether by not attacking Russia or by somehow being successful in the campaigns they launched. Harry Turtledove writes this sort of thing, but I don't think he does it as well as it could be done.

We'd be 10 years ahead of where we are now in converting to Socialism...

Their reign would still be limited to Europe as they still did not have enough of a military force and navy needed to conquer and occupy mainland united states and other continents.

Not necessarily. Given that you prefaced that "victory" could come in any number of ways, the end result could have been the mass exodus of Jews from German controlled territory to a newly formed Zionist state. Zionist Jews could have achieved their ideological dream of a Jewish state of their own in such a scenario.

Well, their goal would've been to conquer and occupy the cities including DC and nukes would destroy that goal due to radioactive fallout and nuke technology being very antiquated compared to today.

If they have to resort to nukes, they can't invade and occupy, just destroy and that's it.

No, not necessarily, but probably. Would the US have the wherewithal to challenge Germany again over the creation of a Jewish, or an Israeli state? How would the founding people of that state get there if they were in a NAZI run and, at the time, peaceful, state.

I think this is also accurate. I'm envisioning a much different, but still cold, war.

I would think that an interesting perspective piece would be titled "The Madagascar Option". Perhaps Germany doesn't win outright but by not invading Russia they are left with a better bargaining position and instead of Israel being where it is now the world accepts the Madagascar option for their homeland. Half of France would be under German control and Germany has a larger stake in the Middle East. Perhaps they become the hated enemy of Muslim extremists much like Israel is now? It would be interesting to see how that would play out...

I want credits.
