I have a family plan (me, spouse, and one child) and 43.62 is taken out of my pay each time, and I get paid bi-weekly. So that's $1,134.12 annually. I want to compare with others, seems kind of high to me.

I pay $9 twice a month ($216 annually). I think I read somewhere that our health insurance is like 80% employer paid so I guess dental is probably close to that, but that seems really expensive. I dont know though.

ETA: I'm single.

$24/mo for self & spouse, Delta Dental. If your dentist is out of network, it's not worth it.

When did you throw your kid on dental? I've got a 9-month old with only a few teeth. I didn't see the point of adding him this year. Next year?

We only get offered family or single plan, so adding her didn't cost anything

I just added her at 15 months because our insurance renewal just came up

$120/mo with no employer contributions for my wife and I. I elected to pay out of pocket instead.

The coverage my employer offers isn't very good, and it pretty much amounts to trading dollars. Mine would 34 a pay check for the family and myself. This provides 2 annual cleanings and x rays with a $25 co-pay. It pays 50% of class II procedures which includes fillings and crowns after 1 year on the plan. It pays 25% of class III procedures.

We just pay out of pocket for our cleanings, and if we need major work we use our HSA. So far nobody has needed major work.

I chose the high option that covers 2 cleanings and 70% of all procedures. I pay $18 a month

I honestly don't think I pay more than $5-$10 a month for sweet coverage. Perks of large companies I guess

I just pay out of pocket.....for routine cleanings I pretty much break even. Maybe later on I'll get it as I get older, but knock on wood I've had pretty good luck with my teeth.

I pay 29.69 bi-monthly, works out to $712.56 a year. I have me, my wife and 8 & 10 year old kid on it. It more than pays for itself because my kids cant seem to lose teeth on their own and they have to get them pulled as of late. A single cleaning is $100 or more so I think we are coming out ahead.
