Dilution is the solution to pollution. That's what people who have no understanding of chemistry or the environment generally think.

Most cases I'd agree, but this is GASOLINE. You don't wanna frick around with this stuff. You're gonna wanna make a nice cocktail of bleach, carpet cleaner, and possibly some industrial strength grease remover if you can find it. Pour that down the same drain and chase it with some draino and then you should sleep fine tonight knowing that you cleaned up your mistake.
