How It's Made - Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Thought this video was interesting. I figured they were dried in an oven, not by the sun. It takes 20 lbs of fresh tomatoes to make 1 lb of dried!

I worked in a restaurant where we made our own "sun drieds". We'd slice up tomatoes and put them on a baking sheet in the oven overnight. The pilot light was enough to take care of the job.
