pay $5 for the convenience of a kindle download or wait until you're near the half priced bookstore in town & pick up a hard copy of the same book for 75 cents?
if kindle..what are you using? tablet? phone? PC?

tablet all the way. dont use a kindle though.
books strain your eyes, are cumbersome to read in bed. i used to prefer books until i finally gave a tablet a try. its really not a competition.

I prefer to get a hard copy, but I've been doing some of each lately.
I have a kindle tablet, but I can also read on my phone with the kindle app. They sync up which is nice.

Depends on the book. Something like House of Leaves and I'd want the hardback. Otherwise I enjoy the convenience of my Nook. Especially going through the local library and getting those books for free.

I rather read my Kindle. I like to lay down at night and read. When I'm done I don't want to get up and turn off the lights. Just close the Kindle and call it a nigth

Pretty standard:
Ipad with Kindle means I can have what I want when I want it.
Book in my hand feels good.

I have donated thousands of books to charities over the years to avoid moving them. I haven't bought a book printed on paper since I got my first Kindle as a gift over 5 years ago. I have almost 1,000 titles in my Kindle account, and I can transport all of them with me in a coat pocket.

It's taken a bit to get use to but I'm starting to enjoy reading books on my iPhone using Kindle.

I definitely prefer hard copies to ebooks.
I like having the feeling of progress as you turn pages... you can't get that with a tablet.

I prefer a real book, but the portability of an e-ink kindle is nice. I cannot stand to read for long periods on an ipad/nexus/kindle fire/similar.
