Anybody have any good recommendations for a Lafayette real estate agent? Looking to purchase our first home so mortgage broker recommendations would also be appreciated.

TIA

Amanda Landry from Keller Williams.

She's new but sold us our first home last month, and her eagerness definitely outweighed her lack of experience.

Anyone but Charlie Baudoin of Van Eaton if your looking to SELL your house. I'm sure he will bend over backwards to help you BUY a house. With that being said, buying a house should be pretty easy, even without a realtor/agent

I disagree. I have found Charlie to be an excellent realtor.

I'll state my case about Mr. Baudoin. House on the market for 90 days. Not once was i contacted by him for an update. Not once was my home shown pictures online(as none were taken except for the front of my house). Not once was an open house arraigned. Not once was i contacted to show me another house to buy. My home was shown once in the Sunday Weekly Real Estate Section of the local newspaper. Contacted him to move the lockbox from the door under my garage(the main door used to enter the house which scratched the finish to my door)to the actual front door, never heard back from him. If this the is level of professionalism one is to expect from him or the company he works for, i would suggest finding a real professional agent instead with another company.

Ended up firing Van Eaton & Romero after 90 days due to Charlie Baudoin not putting ANY effort into at least trying to sell our house nor any interest in finding us another house to buy. All in all, Van Eaton lost approx. $75k in commissions due his lack of effort. Still disagree?

Best case scenario given Charlie's production they wouldve gotten 2.5%. You were selling a $3M home?

3 transaction..sell home, buy a home and buy a place either at Big Lake or Toledo Bend.

Janice McBride Keller Williams. I have used her a couple of times. She is a real professional and honest.
