Me and a buddy were discussing this the other day. What do yall think? I think the Wolves 2003/2004 squads were some of the best in the country during their run.

I really can't say with any accuracy

I just want to add that the central offensive squad with the briscoe brothers that year was one of the most potent area offenses I've ever seen

Redemptorist 2010 was good. Hill Collins and a couple other really good guys. Don't know if it was the best or not though

Parkview beat them because Hill fumbled 5 yards away from the game winning TD.

Redemptorist's coach was a moron when he had Hill and Collins. I don't see how you don't run it behind Collins every single play, but they would pass and frick everything up.

They were very good. That season they went to the semifinal (I think 09) was probably their best.

Redemptorist 2010, Parkview (pick any year they won state), Catholic 2006 (still don't know how we didn't take the title that year).

Falling behind early every game..a bad playoff formula! That, away games, and the typical DW playcalling/run-pass ratios/etc..that Bear alums bemoan.

Sid had some really strong and deep teams in the early 2000's(I know..an understatement)

The answer to the question surely is either an PBS or Redemptorist squad?

The answer for post-2000 is 2001 Parkview but I don't know about PBS in the last 10 years. They mostly win with a bunch of guys playing good team football.

But that 2001 team was loaded.

That team would have won state with a legit kicker.

Ductchtown had some legit teams around 08-09 or so.

Lol what?? Bad play off formula, away games?? Explain...

And it wasn't the pass / run ratio that bothered people. It was the spin offense that did that.

That 2006 team won 11 of their 14 games by 17+ points, 8 of the 14 by 21+ points. Rarely fell behind. And only loss was to Acadiana.

They lost to Acadiana because : a) Wilfred Journet. b) Acadiana was really good. c) Wilfred Journet. d) no kicker. e) Wilfred Journet.

That Catholic team was ranked somewhere between 38th-44th in the Nation before losing to eventual State Champs Acadiana according to Rivals back then.

But the best BR area team in the last 10 years... Tough to say really. Parkview had some great teams, as did Redemptorist. And that 2006 Catholic team was as good as anyone in the state. Hard to just pick 1 though.

Yea Patterson beat em in the quarters because guy went retard mode at the end of the game. Had the ball on 4th down inside the 5 or right on the 5. Hill was averaging 5+ (probably 10+ really) a carry on us. His fantastic call was a quarter back option that went for 1 or 2 yards.

Jay Lucas was a fricking animal. Remember him tearing Patterson up in the dome vividly.

I had older cousins that went to redemptorist back then while I was in middle school so I went to a lot of their games. I'll never forget when they played st James in the semis...it was fricking freezing that night and redemp pulled out a close one..great game
