Going to get breakfast in the morning with some coworkers. Never heard of this place. Anyone have reviews? Looking at their website, looks a little too fancy for a breakfast place, but I know you can't judge a book by their cover.

The food is actually pretty good. I've been for breakfast and brunch a few times and the usual breakfast staple dishes have all been well prepared.
One thing though. Be prepared to be the only people in there under the age of 60. The place tends to attract an older crowd.

I went with my grandfather a lot.
Was his favorite place to go back in the late 90's, early 2000's.

It's the same folks that own Panola Street Cafe Uptown.
Riccobono.

It's a blue hair hangout for sure. Never been but hear the food is okay.

I like it. And yeah, the crowd is older, but so what?

I really like that place for breakfast. Solid all the way around.

You really don't need to give a review, lol.

I find the food to be bland because of the blue hairs.

This. Some of the most bland good I've ever had in my life.

My grandfather liked it for breakfast. I went once but don't remember it.

Not all that fancy at all, just a nice step up from Dot's Diner, I-Hop, and Waffle House.
I like it ok for breakfast. Never been for any other meal, but I've seen them trying like hell to drum up dinner business. They have at time offered 3 or 4 course meals with a glass of wine for under $20.

End up getting the Eggs Pontchartrain, side of bacon, and 2 screwdrivers. Food was really good. Nothing outstanding or "wow", but just solid. Clientele was mostly business people and the expected geriatric crowd, but I didn't feel too young or out of place. It was bustling and almost all the tables were taken when I left at 9am, which I was pleasantly surprised. Nice option to grab breakfast on a weekday if I'm not in the Uptown area.

Might be the weirdest date spot I've ever heard of in New Orleans.
