I'm sure Phish takes the cake here. Everytime I talk to someone whos a fan of Phish, they squeal uncontrollably like a Justin Bieber fangirl as they talk about them and demand that I see every concert of theirs in a 200 mile radius and proclaim it will be the best moment of my life.

I've followed Kings of Leon since their Aha Shake Heartbreak days and enjoy the shite out of most of their albums (all great efforts, nothing compares to the first two albums) but their fans since breaking out with Sex on Fire are unbearable.

Metal bands. Or punk bands. Having stupid mosh pits, throwing beers, fighting; this is all expected and praised behavior at those shows.
I also don't care for DMB fans thinking that is the greatest band to walk the planet. Very "meh" music to me.

Black Stone Cherry fans are up there. White trash and annoying as hell. Went to see Kyng in Nashville a couple weeks ago, unfortunately BSC was the headliner.

The coolest fanbase are the string cheese fans. There's an even proportion of guys to girls and wooks to non wooks. It's a perfect balance
Every other jamband fanbase is horrible especially fish3.0 fans and wsp.

As a huge Wilco fan, I'd say we're the worst. Just once I'd like to go to a concert where I don't get swallowed up by a super violent mosh pit or get kicked in the face cause some skin-heads wanna get in a fight.

Also, Counting Crows. I love their music but I just can't deal with the thugs. Every time Anna Begins plays, it seems like someone is getting shot for stepping on someone's kicks.
