I don't get them either. Heat, size, and the name thing are all stupid. Like you said, it's had 3. The heat, well, it's Texas in the summer. What do you want? Night games aren't bad at all. And that has nothing to do with the stadium.

I agree on the porch. It was modeled after a lot of old parks. I love that feel.

Arlington and Turner Field are about even in my book, now that I've spent some time in Arlington. The atmosphere is comparable in either. Arlington's attendance is better, but like the 'Boys, I think Dallas gets a fair rep for mediocre fan atmosphere. The Braves have a better fan atmosphere, but there are usually fewer fans in the building, so I'd say its a wash.

Both have pretty shitty outside options. Obviously you're less likely to get shot in that part of Arlington than the Atlanta counterpart, but both are dull.

Arlington's exterior aesthetics beat Turner easily. Unfortunately, the interior just blows on many levels. Sight lines aren't as good IMO, and the center field suites are just an absolute eyesore. I like what the Ballpark tried to do, I really like the porch, but it seems to forced and fake, too many elements crammed into a not-that-authentic replica.

Anyway, I don't mind going to games in Arlington in the least, I just don't think the Ballpark is more than a mediocre park. Same way I feel about Turner.

Unlike PNC and ATT, both are just venues to watch baseball.

Most of those parks, I've only seen the outside of, but haven't gone in for a game

ATT Park in SF looks amazing, though. PNC, Camden, and Wrigley have been on my bucket list.

Comerica at 12 is reasonable. Thought Texas would be higher, but I haven't been in it myself.

Also, it's the LA show up in the 3rd and leave in the 7th mentality.

I've been to almost ALL of them.

And I would agree, the Pirates park is the best- esp. if you park on one side of the river and walk across the Clemente bridge.

You can also watch people kayaking down the river if you are on the upper 1st base side.

As much as people hate on Tropicana Field, they need it- the AC feels divine when you walk inside on a blazing hot day. If they played outside, it would be a sweatbox.

PNC is pretty sweet. My seats are in the lower deck even w/ 3B, and that view of downtown w/ the bridges really is well done.

What makes is nice too is that it's relatively easy to get to for most games, w/ a fair amount of parking nearby between it and Heinz Field, and parking in downtown within walking distance over a bridge. You can also park further away and take one of the tourists's riverboats over or the lightrail coming from the south. I had kind of a hard time parking for opening day due to the mash up of commuters plus the game, but that's about it.

I went in on a ticket package w/ a couple of dudes at work, and it's really been one of the things we love to do as a family since we've moved here.

A nice connection between Target Field and PNC is that they used the same limestone quarried in Minnesota as a building material.
