Well, this is more realistic than 5th.

Still not sure why Auburn is being so hyped though.

Auburn was a fluke last year, we have as good a shot as anyone in the division.

Return the best experienced quarterback in the division. Tradition of ruining Bama's dreams at Brian Dennehy stadium. Luckily gets biggest threat LSU at home.

Won't be shocked if Alabama, auburn, or LSU win the west. This year is so wide open.

Auburn could have easily been 4 and 4 last year. They are good, but they will need their share of luck to repeat as SEC champs.

All true, but they won't catch anybody by surprise with Malzhan's offense this year. All their opponents have the offseason to study tape, etc. It certainly didn't bother LSU that much unless you count all the yardage gained in garbage time after the game had already been decided last year. Their defense is suspect as hell.

Playing at their place will obviously pose somewhat of a challenge, but they just don't strike me as a complete team, worthy of all that much worry.

Last year's Auburn will prove to be a fluke imo.

That's actually like saying, "we think LSU IS 3rd best in the country."

Well, amirite?

I'm okay with being picked 3rd, makes more sense than 5th at least. Our young skill players on offense will be hard to predict anyway, but a solid O-line and defense can take us a long way.

It's pretty rare for the team picked to finish 1st, to actually finish 1st.

Malzahn has been running the same offense since HS.

Agree.

Somewhat? When LSU plays at AU there is no somewhat. Rules are made up on the fly.

They will lose 3 games this year. But which 3 is the important part.

Uh, to be perfectly honest I'd never heard of the guy until he took the Auburn job.

This is where I have us.

I also see us at second in the West if we can beat Auburn.

So true.

Mason was a huge reason for their success. He gone. Then they WILL have a hangover from last year, I guarantee it. They won't have the crazy breaks they had last year.

To me the surprise team will be Miss St. I just think they finally have some talent and experience. Still probably won't win but I bet they have a good year.

If anyone actually got caught by surprise last year they are retarded. Malzahn has been an OC in the conference before and is offense has been seen.

Hangover from what? Losing the the championship game? If anything they will be hungry to get back and redeem themselves.

I disagree. I think Dak Prescott is better.
