Who has looked thru the menu's and found a gem or 2? Looks like I will only be in town 1 or 2 days this week for lunch and had hoped they would have a lunch menu, and have not done my due diligence to pick out a spot or 2.
Anyone have the cliff notes to helpa-brotha-out?
Most look like dinner only, tho.

A less than stellar group of restaurants and the $25 prix fixe offerings seem overpriced for most of them. This is pretty much the same restaurants that rotate on the various Groupons in town, a better bargain than this promotion.
Instead spend $20 for the prix fixe lunch at Galatoire's Bistro. You'll thank me later.

Previously posted these comments, but...
Nino's is taking a little different approach with three courses (app/salad/main) that doesn't include dessert.
Beausoleil has seared wahoo and quail confit as the main.
Some new things on the IPO menu, good to see them innovating.
I will probably hit those three

Did the Galatoire's prix fixe menu tonight. The duck crepe appetizer was fantastic. The turtle soup is also very good. The Gulf Fish Yvonne was an excellent entree. The soft shell crab was good, but I wish I had ordered the fish after trying a bite of it. The bread pudding was okay. The fresh berries in pastry were better. Service was very good. Sorry for no pics.....

Went to Beausoliel last night. Had the mussels app and the shrimp app. Had the skirt steak entree and the quail entree. They were all good, but nothing blew me away. Had the chocolate pot de creme for dessert. It was excellent.

Had Sullivans last night for my first time. The service and Food was fantastic. I chose the Lobster bisque, new york strip with gorgonzola garlic butter topping and the bread pudding. My date and I also got a knockout, one of their signature drinks. Everything was top notch, we will be back.

How much is their NY strip?

It was part of the $35 restaurant week deal. I did not look at the menu to see the regular price. My date got a filet with mushroom sauce, which was also tasty. The sauces were about $2/3 extra each.
