Jaws 2 ain't bad. Of course, we all know Jaws: the Revenge is the best of them all

Also, the Mayor is such a little shite

Yea the mayor is a dick but Chief Brody is basically having a nervous breakdown through about half of Jaws 2. Kind of makes his dismissive attitude seem a little more legit than in the first flick.

I always laugh when the decomposing body pops out at Roy Scheider. Inappropriate laughter.

Jaws: The Revenge - The only movie where the critics on RT and the audience both agree that it is a shittastic movie. 0% fresh!

Jaw and Jaws 2... the rest of them shouldn't have been made.

Best part about Jaws 2 is seeing all the familiar stuff from Ft. Walton and Destin.

The shark pissed him off, and he was trying to drag it back on top of the water to kill it.

At that point in the movie Quint had basically become Captain Ahab hunting the white whale. He was going to get the shark no matter the cost.

On a side note, the telling of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis has got to be one of the greatest speeches/scenes in any movie.

Wasn't that basically improvised, or was Shaw just three sheets to the wind when he did it?

No, it wasn't improvised. It was actually a speech given to him by a vet. They tried to film it drunk, but Shaw couldn't get the lines out. So the next morning they went in to shoot and he nailed it on first take. At least thats what i saw on the behind the scenes making of Jaws.

Jaws is one of my all time favorite movies.

Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfus all gave oustanding performances.

My favorite parts are the USS Indianapolis speech. The first time shaw actually sees Jaws. "25, 3 tons of him".
And when hooper convinces the chief to go cut open the shark. That whole dinner scene.

Ahh.. ok... I'm remembering now... the "we're gonna need a bigger boat" line was improvised... and I knew there was alcohol involved somehow. He asked Spielberg if he'd made an arse of himself, or something to that effect.
